“I took an edition of Art in America and would respond to each page as quickly as possible, letting the first impulse and materials closest to me to dictate the direction of the ‘edits’. Additions would be made from drawing, scratching or cutting, photographing then printing then drawing atop, and loads of gluing. All this effort FOR the editor, Raphael Rubinstein.
It was confrontational, sophomoric, genuine, and incredibly productive.”
